JOB SUMMARY

Assists customers with matters related to inland transportation of their cargo, by rail and / or truck.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

· Monitors information using MSC proprietary IT systems, MSExcel and Power BI.
· Liaises with intermodal customers, US customs and various MSC departments globally as needed.
· Communicates quickly and effectively with respective vendors. · Analyzes data and considers performance modifications and implements strategies to support process efficiencies.
· Provides timely and accurate responses to all inquiries regarding transportation statues and updates.
· Observes corporate guidelines when addressing vendor and customer inquiries regarding shipments.
· Escalates unique or complex issues to the appropriate supervisor for resolution when necessary.
· Anticipates potential problems before they arise as well as having problem solving skills to solve any unforeseen issues.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required skills, experience, education
· Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in a similar role (supply chain, transportation, shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, customer service, etc.)
